Jesus said in Mark 12 that the most important command is to love God. The second is to love others. In Matthew 28 Jesus tells us to make disciples. These are the two passages of scripture drive us to connect. Our first connection is with God. The second connection is with people. And the third connection is the one we seek to establish between people and God. We desire to be like the early church in the book of Acts by truly caring for one another.
We strive to connect people with God, God’s Word (Bible), and God’s People (Church). We believe one of the first steps in this process is engaging in a large church setting. In this setting individuals will join others and hear leaders share from God’s Word in a way they can understand and apply.
We desire for each participant to grow deeper in their knowledge of God’s Word, to draw closer to God, and to do life in community with like minded people. We believe this can be done best through small group opportunities.
We have a natural desire to be loved. We will connect and grow to be loved. But there’s more to love. When we understand how much God loves us it will become a catalyst in our lives to love other people in a way that is selfless and sacrificial.
We feel the best way to share God’s love with others is by serving them. We challenge members to engage in service with the community so as to shine the light of Christ. We also challenge members to serve within the church to assist others in growing in their relationship with God.
